A story of Sherlock Holmes by Arthur Conan Doyle, was discovered recently in the UK, over 100 years after it was written, reports contactmusic.com.
The story, entitled "Sherlock Homes: Discovering The Border Burghs And, By deduction, The Brig Bazaar", was written by the famous British novelist in 1904 with the aim of raising money to finance the renovation of a bridge in the Scottish town of Selkirk, which had been damaged by flooding.
The story was discovered by Walter Elliot, a British pensioner aged 80 years. "I have no idea if it was ever published - I have never seen her before. I've always been interested in history, and my family has passed down from generation to generation volumes of stories. I guess it was one of the volumes that were sent in my family, "said Walter Elliot tabloid Daily Mail.
Beloved Sherlock Holmes stories have been adapted over the years in numerous films, including a TV series with Benedict Cumberbatch and film franchise in which the main role is played by Robert Downey Jr.
