Smart bullet can not miss the target. It's used by the US army

A research agency of the US Army, Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA), has released a video recording showing smart bullets that can change your trajectory to hit a moving target.

According iflscience.com most likely missiles are able to change direction using small "wings" placed on the edges of the bullet, heading toward the moving target that is being tracked with the help of lasers. DARPA gave no details on the technology, which is known as exacto, for understandable reasons, commented the source.

The video released shows that a gun with bullets that can change their trajectory can be used not only experienced marksmen, but even for novices. Smart bullets not only increase the accuracy of hitting the target, but increase the distance of the target can be hit.

"Exacto proved what was once thought impossible: the continuous guidance of a small caliber bullet to the target," said Jerome Dunn, manager of the DARPA project.

"This demonstration, using a standard gun, exacto showed that the technology is capable of hitting a moving target and elusive with a very high accuracy from distances, impossible for a classic sniper shoot bullets," he said Dunn.
