Actor Leonard Nimoy, Star Trek legend series, known to fans worldwide as "Spock" - member of the starship USS Enterprise crew died.
Nimoy has died at his home in Bel Air, Los Angeles, at the age of 83 years. His wife, Susan Bay Nimoy said the actor died of chronic lung disease.
Leonard Nimoy first appeared in his role as Spock in "The Cage", the pilot episode of the series Star Trek. He was the first officer on half-Vulcan, half-man of the Enterprise, broadcast on television seasons between 1966-1969. The actor appeared in five films Star Trek, between the years 1982-1992, and in Star Trek: The Next Generation and the new series, directed by JJ Abrams, Star Trek and Star Trek: Into Darkness.
Nimoy starred also in the movie "Mission Impossible" - his character is a master of disguise, and the series Fringe, which serve emigmaticului William Bell.
