The next generation of tablets will have 3D displays

A new technology has the potential to revolutionize the way we interact with computers.
Apple iPad first appeared created 5 years ago, changing the way users see computers - not the first tablet, even for those from Apple. But it was the first tablet that has attracted the attention of the whole world and has sold millions of units.

The folks at Mashable write about how tablets will change the phase touchscreens. They bring the user's fingers in contact with virtual objects on the screen, turned out to be a 3D environment through a 2D screen. In other words, the interface is based on visual sense.

From the physical pixel

Touchscreen tablets frees us from the burden of working at a desk, with more freedom due to the small size and weight. But for users to take advantage of all their senses, the new generation of displays will be 2D and horizontal, but will have a physical surface configurable. Displays will be able to change shape. These interfaces will change the display surface to better represent the content on the screen to distrubute better information by touch, not only visually.

Dynamic physical geometry - sized tablet shows 3D 2D real and not just their representatives - will fundamentally change the way people interact with computers treats. Developers can create applications familiar to architecture, design or photography computer generating 3D scenes in real world.

Such displays, revolution is closer than you might think - Phorm those from Tactus Technology already offers a way to generate keys coming out of the screen.
