Mozilla Develop Firefox OS for Smart TVs.


   From the mobile web browser and now smart TVs, Mozilla Firefox has grown rapidly and now aims for the purpose of offering dedicated software tools connected houses. Mozilla has had to redefine a new interface that fits screens with large diagonals remains familiar to users of smart TV.

   Interface developed by the company revolves around groups ('Deks') and cards ("Cards"). This is not a new concept but a different nomenclature. Cards are basic units with which users can interact and pose a TV channel, a device or application. They can be integrated into groups called Deks.    Default home screen has 4 TV TV channels, Dashboard for quick information, applications and Apps for Devices peripherals connected to the device.

   Apps and Devices functions allow users to navigate through applications installed or through devices connected to the TV can be fixed easily on the home screen. Mozilla claims that Firefox Web applications developed for the platform will work on any device, be it a browser, phone or TV.

   Dashboard provides information and quick access to the functionalities through a pad; It has four directions offering different functions: Up (to music), Netherlands (Watch), Left (access TV program) and Right (display notifications).

   Everything sounds good in theory but currently, Panasonic is the only manufacturer of smart TVs that will use the new sistm its models. Sony TV is based on Android and LG and Samsung use their own platforms (webOS and Tizen).
