Xiaomi MI 4 comes bundled with malware preinstalled

Earlier this week, Bluebox, a company specializing in data security, presented a report that included testing new phone Xiaomi Xiaomi Mi 4. Unfortunately the results were not good at all. Not only Bluebox found malware installed on the device but some harmful files appear as Google applications. Even worse, they think they have changed your third solutions based on Android operating system.

Besides infected files found specialists were also found "Trojan" dangerous files that offers hackers and adware access to the device but appears to be similar to Google applications checked. Bluebox checked the device under test with the help of "Mi Identification" to ensure that it is original and the company found in all tests. Signatures installed on the device do not match the key used any of Xiaomi, that made them believe that the infestation was made by third-components.

Andrew Blaich wrote that the Bluebox running on my Android version 4 is not certified, which is a combination of KitKat 4.4.4 and earlier version of the operating system. Many of the discovered security issues are correlated with older versions of the Android operating system. Blaich added and that it is not clear if the device received was a regular client received or a test pattern.

Safety report was published on the website Bluebox and the company received a delayed response from Xiaomi. Hugo Barra, vice president Xiaomi wrote that they believe that the Bluebox tested a custom operating system standardized by Xiaomi, used mobile operating systems without access to root and not preinstalled solutions that YT Service, PhoneGuardService, AppStats etc. The director says that the Bluebox phone I bought 4 at a retailer in China, this would mean that it was a modified device. Xiaomi sells its products only through the official online store and select mobile operators not through third party retailers.

Bluebox company is not entirely convinced by the explanation given by Xiaomi.
