Some holiday destinations have become very popular lately because it will soon change forever. CNN has made a list of ten sights not to be missed until no longer be the same, writes Mediafax.

Gozo, Malta

There are few better ways to advertise a tourist attraction than its presence in a film.

Last year, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt spent several months on the island of Gozo in Malta, where they filmed for "By the Sea", a film directed by Angelina Jolie.

Visitor has already begun to increase due to the presence of the couple on the island, but experts expect the release in late 2015 to position the island amongst the most sought after holiday destinations.

The little island of Gozo is a 20-minute ferry Malta and has a population of 37,000 people.

Approximately 97% of its inhabitants are Roman Catholic, and the churches are very beautiful.

It is a great destination for lovers of thrills, cyclists and amateur diving, and if you are looking for a splendid landscape, you can enjoy Mgarr ix-Xini Bay, one of the key locations in the film directed by Angelina Jolie.

Cuba

Once one of the few islands in the Caribbean where cruise ships did not have access, it is expected that in the coming years Cuba to receive large numbers of tourists, after the US eased travel restrictions in the island country.

Since the beginning of 2015 there was a 200% increase in tourist arrivals, and most hotels in Cuba are reserved by the summer.

Even the son of Che Guevara, Ernesto, trying to take advantage of the recent opening of Cuba to the United States, recently setting up a company that offers tourists a motorcycle tour of the island.

To enjoy the Latin atmosphere away from the beach, visitors can head to Havana, where to find vintage cars, colonial palaces and beautiful murals.

Antartica

Year 2016 will mark 50 years of commercial tourism in Antarctica. In recent years, the number of tourists grew increasingly more, the main reason that people are desperate to see this part of the world before changing forever.

Experts say that in recent decades has experienced Antarctic air temperature increases by 3 degrees Celsius - five times more than the average rate of global warming for the world.

Reducing large ice cap has reduced the number of species of penguins.

"Antarctica lost 160 billion tons of ice annually, and this figure is growing," said Andrew White, president of Quark Expeditions.

"It's heartbreaking for those of us who were fortunate to see this place suficienţide in all its beauty. Look Cuba. If there is a destination that you should now see this is Antarctica," said White.

Reydarfjordur, Iceland

Tour operators reported a 100% increase in the number of visitors in the Nordic countries in recent years.

It is believed that the influx of tourists has been driven by the increasing popularity of the genre Nordic Noir - represented by TV as "The Killing" and "Fortitude" a huge success both in Europe and USA.

Reydarfjordur (Iceland) is one of the locations where they filmed reality show "Fortitude".

The town is named after the fjord which is nearby - the largest on the east coast of Iceland.

The city, which has a small population (less than 1,000 inhabitants), hosted 3,000 foreign residents in 2014, who worked on the construction of a large smelter.

Solden,Austria

Locations used for the next Jame Bond film series, "Spectre" were a closely guarded secret until a few months ago when it was found that 007 will visit Rome, London and Morocco.

One of the most spectacular locations that producers have chosen, however, to filming "Spectre" is Solden (Austria), where he will pour at least one big action sequence.

ICE-Q building which houses a restaurant and can be found in Gaislachkogel mountain top will be the center of the action.

"What could be more exciting than being on top of the world?" Says production designer Dennis Gassner.

The film will be released in November 2015, which leaves you a few months to visit the location, so that tourists invade the area after viewing the film.

Greek Islands

Tourists wishing to view more remote Greek islands in the past were forced to resort to irregular ferry service offering for the 6,000 islands across the country provided with only 50 airports.

The airline Hellenic Seaplanes recently announced plans to connect 100 of these islands.

Crete, Skyros and Pelion is expected to become more accessible to May 2015 and flights to more remote islands will be possible until the end, says the airline.

Victoria Falls (Zimbabwe/Zambia)

New Victoria Falls International Airport, which lies on the border between Zimbabwe and Zambia, will open in September.

This means that the famous waterfalls, which are twice higher than Niagara Falls will soon become much more affordable.

The new tracks, four kilometers long, will be able to accommodate aircraft such as Airbus A340, Boeing 777 and Boeing 747, and the two governments have instructed ministry officials in charge of tourism to launch campaigns of promotion to coincide with the opening of the airport.

Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Caribbean

For years, tourists wishing to visit the beautiful islands of St. Vincent and the Grenadines are forced to fly to Barbados and from there take a flight from ET Joshua Airport in Kingstown, located on the island of St. Vincent.

This year Argyle International Airport will open, allowing tourists to fly directly to the islands in North America and around.

This means not only easier access to St. Vincent, and the smaller islands such as Palm Island, Union Island and Bequia.

Island Saint Elena

Regarded as the most inaccessible inhabited island in the world, a visit to St Helena is an option only for those with a lot of free time.

Tourists begin on a flight to South Africa.

Once in Cape Town, they must climb aboard RMS St. Helena, for a five-day trip to the island.

All this will change in February 2016 with the opening of the first airport of the island, which will serve weekly flights from Johannesburg.

This year marks 200 years since Napoleon was exiled to the island of St. Helena, where he stayed until his death in 1821. Napoleon Bonaparte stayed in the town of Longwood, where is the house-museum, a important tourist attraction.

Nicaragua

Tourists who dreams of seeing this beautiful part of Central America should do this now, because the government recently gave the green light to build a maritime canal will link the Atlantic Pacific.

Tourists were already more numerous because of improved infrastructure, but with the start of construction of the canal in December last year, the number has increased even more.

"The channel will transform the face of the landscape," says Emma Kingcome, specialist tour operator's representative Rickshaw Travel.

"There is a great anxiety related to scale of the project and which will bring the country and be very careful about what this entails as it develops," said Emma Kingcome.
